Wildlife Photographer | Senior Tour Leader - Guide | Conservationist
He is the founder of Assam Wildlife Safari and one of North-East India’s most respected wildlife tour leaders and guide . Based in Kaziranga, he is also a passionate wildlife photographer and a dedicated conservationist with decades of field experience across the Eastern Himalayas and beyond.
Honored with the Best Tourist Guide of Assam award in both 2019 and 2020 by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Assam, Bitupan was also recognized as an Honorable Citizen of India by the Golaghat District Administration on Republic Day 2023 for his contributions to wildlife and community work.
He has been actively documenting the wildlife, habitats, and behaviors of North-East India, providing valuable insights and field data to Kaziranga and Assam Forest Departments. With a deep understanding of ecological “hotspots,” strong bonds with local communities and guides, and a talent for leading high-altitude treks, wildlife safaris, and tribal tours.
