 A spectacular journey through the Eastern Himalayas, combining scenic mountain drives, ancient monasteries, Tibetan Buddhist culture, and breathtaking high-altitude landscapes. .

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Drive to Bhalukpong 

 Arrive at Guwahati Airport and drive to Bhalukpong, the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. Enjoy the scenic journey through Assam and relax by the tranquil Kameng River. Overnight at Bhalukpong. 

Day 02: Bhalukpong - Dirang (Arunachal Pradesh) 

Drive to Dirang via the scenic Kameng Valley. En route, visit the Tipi Orchid Centre, a traditional Monpa village, and Mandala (9,000 ft) for stunning Himalayan views. Overnight at Dirang. 

Day 03: Dirang- Sela Pass-Tawang 

Start the day with a spectacular sunrise over Mt. Gorichen. After breakfast, visit the historic Dirang Dzong and Dirang Monastery before driving to Tawang via the scenic Sela Pass. En route, stop at the Sela Lakes, Jaswant Garh War Memorial, and Jang Waterfall. Overnight at Tawang. .

Day 04: Tawang 

Post breakfast visit Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri lake) high altitude lake and Indo-China border to Bumla Pass at 16,500 feet the witness of 1962 Indo-China war.

Day 05: Tawang 

Post breakfast  visit Tawang monastery, Ani Gumpha, and continue on to visit Kitpi village and the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama and Explore the local market and places.

Day 06: Tawang-Dirang 

Post Breakfast way to Dirang. 

Day 07: Dirang- Nameri 

After breakfast drive back down to the plains of Assam to Nameri. Afternoon rafting at Nameri. Overnight Eco Camp.

Day 08: Departure at Guwahati Airport 

After breakfast drive to Airport.  

In search of last  tattooed Head Hunters 

Konyak Tattooed Headhunters – The Last Living Warriors

The Konyak tribe of Nagaland, India, were once fierce headhunters, known for their warrior culture and distinctive facial and body tattoos—each mark a symbol of valor earned in battle. These tattoos, etched with traditional thorns and soot, served as a visual record of their bravery. With headhunting outlawed in the 1960s and modern influences reshaping tribal life, only a handful of these tattooed elders remain today—living relics of a fading warrior tradition. Their stories, inked in skin and spirit, are the last echoes of a proud and fearsome legacy.

Day 1: Arrival Dibrugarh

Meet our guide in Dibrugarh Airport. Drive to Sibasagar. Explore the Kingdom of The Great Ahom Dynesty. Visit Ahom-era landmarks like Rang Ghar, Talatal Ghar, and Sivadol Temple Overnight at Sibasagar. 

Day 2: Sibasagar to Mon

Early start and settle into a local homestay or guesthouse and relax in the hill‑top town. Explore nearby Konyak Naga villages.

Day 3: Mon & Longwa Village

Full day in Mon district, home to the Konyak tribe. Visit Longwa Village at the Indo‑Myanmar border, including the Chief’s house straddling both nations—and meet the last living warriors of tattooed Head Hunters and learn about Konyak culture, crafts (wood carvings, Daos, headgear), and way of life. Overnight in Mon.

Day 4: Excursion & Culture

Drive to an another remote Tattooed Head-hunters village-Hungphai. Interact with the warriors, locals. If timing aligns (first week of April), you may witness the Aoleang Festival, celebrated by Konyak Nagas—colorful, spirited, and cultural immersion at its best. 

Day 5: Mon - Sivasagar - Mokokchung

Depart Mon and drive into Assam to Continue to Mokokchung (~80 km, 3 hrs). Explore Ao Naga villages such as Ungma or Mopungchuket, known for well-preserved heritage and the legendary “Romeo & Juliet” folk tale. Overnight in Mokokchung.

Day 6: Mokokchung - Kohima 

Drive to Kohima. Over night at Kohima. 

Day 7: Kohima 

Visit the Kohima War Cemetery WWII and Nagaland State Museum, the Heritage Village at Kisama and Khonoma Village . Wrap up Naga cultural experiences—explore crafts, textiles, and traditional architecture 

Day 8: Dimapur Airport

Depart to Dimapur Airport approx. 70 km from Kohima.
